Nutrabio 100% Whey Protein Isolate Review – Cinnamon Bun

cinnamon-bun-nutrabio-proteinI have been a fan of this company for about a year now. They showed up in my Facebook feed as pages I might be interested in. I clicked ‘Like’ and have enjoyed their videos ever since. So I was very excited when I was given a chance to review some of their products on Supplement Inner Circle. The first product I will be reviewing from Nutrabio is their 100% whey protein isolate in the ever-so-good cinnamon bun flavor. Honestly if cinnamon was classified as a food, it would be my favorite.

First Thoughts

First off, love the bottle and colors. The label really is inviting. Reading the label they easily breakdown the main macros, special points and let you know the there is True Label Full Label Disclosure. With the whole amino spiking issues we have with protein, love that they do this for their customers. Here is a break down of what you get in the 2lb size:

  • 31 Servings
  • 110 Calories Per Serving
  • 25 Grams of Protein Per Serving
  • Less Than 1 Gram of Carbohydrates
  • Zero Fat
  • Zero Fillers
  • Zero Lactose

The Cinnamon Bun Flavor

First, when you open the bottle up…the cinnamon smell hits your nose…smells natural and amazing. Now I have been on an increased calorie diet for a few months and decided to start dropping calories this week. And with that I had been usually drinking protein blends which have around 180 calories per shake. More fat and carbs as well. Going into drinking this the first time, I acted like it was a blend (casein/egg/whey)…it was habit…and I put in way too much water. Just no taste. But then I remembered this was a whey protein isolate…you don’t need as much water as I put into it. So, the second time around I dropped the amount of water and it was spot on. This stuff makes you look forward to drinking it. Usually whey isolates have very little flavor, but Nutrabio did a great job I can see getting a sweet tooth at night and instead of heading to the fridge for chocolate or a snack, I could just drink the Nutrabio protein and be set for the night. You will love the flavor of this…guaranteed.

Mixibility

Not too much to say about this, but for those that are worried about clumps. I tested this with a shaker cup (no blender ball) and a Blender Bottle w/ ball…both times it was mixed easily with absolutely no clumping. I plan on testing it with some oatmeal next…just thinking about that makes my mouth water!

Why Take Nutrabio Protein

Like I said above, I normally take whey isolates when I am starting to better count my macros or during dieting/cutting phases. The Nutrabio only has 110 calories, which is awesome right there. I would recommend a whey protein isolate for anyone that works out religiously. It’s a whey isolate, so perfect post workout. Quick digesting. Not over-filling. Great tasting. Perfect for that. One thing I like to do as well during a cutting phase, is a take a whey protein isolate (this spring I will be using Nutrabio for sure), drink it, and eat some almonds or walnuts with it as a small meal. This way you get a great source of protein and good fats too.

Conclusion

I was very happy to have been able to get the chance to try this protein. I give it a 10/10. So much flavor in a whey protein isolate…they did a great job. Interested in buying this protein, check out Nutrabio.com.
